Walker Prize 2006

In the year 1977, Jim Walker has helped establish this award named after him as Walker Prize. It celebrates the tradition of vision, quality and innovation exemplified. It is awarded annually to the paper, article or commentary published by HRPS that best advances state-of-the-art thinking or practices in human resources.

Companies hire professionals to check accuracy of resumes

From the latest reports on taipeitimes.com, The Human Resource Management did a survey last year that showed 40 percent of human resource professionals had increased the time they spent checking references since 2002, and 52 percent said they contracted out at least part of the background checking to professionals.
It is not new that employees lie on their resume about their work experience. More and more companies are hiring professionals to check their background to track the accuracy of the details mentioned in their resumes when they apply for a new job.

West Bend Police suspended for falsifying time sheets

West Bend Police suspended 3 offiers Andrew Adee, Kurt Bohn and Todd Yerges, on March 8th, accused of knowingly falsifying their time sheets over a two-year period. The West Bend Fire and Police Commission will reconvene on Monday to continue deliberations on the fate of these three city police officers. Click here for more.
